First Birthday!

Mary Adams turned one last Saturday, September 4th! We had a family birthday party at home so she was the only child there- oh well, she certainly did not mind being the absolute center of attention! Here she is coming downstairs right after she woke up. She loves balloons so we had a ton waiting for her.

Charley and I got her a little kitchen and had it set up that morning for her to see. It only took a couple of hours for him to put it together!

What a great birthday and the weather was amazing! Later, while my mom and Milly babysat the dads, brothers, Charley, and I went to the Carolina/LSU game. Not such a good ending score on a great day but it was wonderful getting into the football scene again!

August and NC Beach Trip

Well, I'm very behind on updating pictures but it is getting harder and harder to find time to sit down and blog! It's true, now that Mary Adams is walking, she is into EVERYTHING (and I thought she was into everything before!!) August was a very busy but sad month. My Pappy (GRANDfather Adams) passed away on August 23rd so we went down to Pine Island, FL to be with my mom's family and go to the Memorial service. He was a wonderful man and I'm happy to say he was my grandfather.

Here we are on our long drive to Oak Island for a big King family beach trip. We had so much fun playing with everyone in a great setting! Mary Adams was a great traveler- thank goodness!

Summer Days

It's hard to believe it is already the end of July! Where has the summer gone? Mary Adams is having a blast learning to stand on her own and is even taking a few steps! Her new favorite spot to sit and dance

We went to the Jones' house to swim the other day. MA had so much fun swimming and playing with the other kids. Here she is with her dad.

Later that day we headed down the street to swim with Helen. I think that was the longest she's ever left her sunglasses on!

PS- Ruby is doing much better after a severe reaction she had to the drugs post-radiation. She spent several nights in ICU and was a pitiful sight for about a week (still is, actually) but I can tell she's feeling so much better. Bless her heart!

Happy Father's Day! We were in Princeton to surprise Milly for her birthday which was also Father's Day weekend. One of Milly's friends came to take pictures in her INCREDIBLE garden on Sunday. It was so much fun! Here is Mary Adams with her dad. MA and Charles

MA with Uncle Matt who was also in on the surprise. Uncle Will was there too, but sadly I didn't get any pictures of MA with him!! Milly to us to a lavender farm one day while the boys played golf. It was beautiful. We saw many varieties of lavender and baby mules, llamas, and chickens! Mary Adams loved the animals.

Mary Adams is crazy about her dog, Ruby! Here she is playing with her toy like Ruby does!

The spots on Ruby's nose are part of her radiation treatment. She had a malignant tumor removed several weeks ago and is undergoing radiation until July. Ruby's done great so far and we're hopeful that she will completely healed then.

Mary Adams has her own miniature rocking chair and she loves watching Classical Baby and rocking in it!
