Overdue!

I know I'm way behind on posting pictures but we have been super busy since Thanksgiving! Here are pictures of what Mary Adams has been doing lately.

Watching the Christmas parade with her dad on the downtown porch
She was very excited about her "cook" (her word for cookies)
Getting a better view of the parade
After the parade we went to pick out our Christmas tree. Mary Adams thought it was the best thing running around the lot.
This picture is my favorite of the season so far!

She loves being "tickled" by the trees. I've caught her several times at our house brushing her face against the tree so it can get her.
This was back in November. She loves when her dad gets home from work so they can chase Ruby around.
In her turkey outfit my mom made for her.
I don't know what's going on here...

More to come soon- I promise not to wait so long!!

Witch!

Here's another Halloween picture I forgot on the last post. She loved wearing this witch hat!

This Little Piggy

Happy Halloween! Mary Adams, Helen and Mary Martin went as the three little pigs. Here are pictures from October. On our way to the neighborhood Halloween party
Trying to get a picture with the other two piggies
Still trying...
And almost got it! Mary Adams saw a dog and got up to chase it. It was so much easier taking pictures at the Halloween party last year!
Piggy feeding time
Dress rehearsal- we had a playdate with the three little pigs before Halloween. This is Mary Martin, Helen and Mary Adams.
Playing with Helen's toys
We went to a pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago and took a family photo...
Mary Adams loved all of the pumpkins!
Her favorite thing to do was just sit down in the middle of a pile and bang on them like drums.

Earlier in the month we headed out west to Denver to visit my sister. My parents were there and on Saturday we went on a hike and picnic by this stream.
Lindsey and I ran the Denver half marathon and were greeted by Mary Adams at the finish.
She loved our medals!
Mary Adams has had so much fun all month long!

Fall

We have had a very busy fall so far! Recently we put our house on the market, Mary Adams began a morning program a few days a week at a church, and Ruby is doing so well she's been back to doggie daycare- yay! Here are pictures from the past month.

This is of Mary Adams in her tutu that Kristen and Matthew gave to her for her birthday. She's not quite sure yet what to think... And this is a few seconds later when she decided she is NOT happy about it after all. Oh well, maybe she'll grow into it!
Ruby now loves to run outside and play with Mary Adams through the door. By the way, MA is obsessed with saying "Roooveee" and "oof oof"
Me pretending her hair is long enough for bows

Very happy about lunch
Very happy about dinner. I've learned to just go ahead and strip her down to her diaper when spaghetti's on the menu.
At the botanical gardens
We went to the gardens with Clay and Winnie. Here are the girls before lunch.

Another picture of me pretending her hair is long enough for pigtails this time

First Birthday!

Mary Adams turned one last Saturday, September 4th! We had a family birthday party at home so she was the only child there- oh well, she certainly did not mind being the absolute center of attention! Here she is coming downstairs right after she woke up. She loves balloons so we had a ton waiting for her.

Charley and I got her a little kitchen and had it set up that morning for her to see. It only took a couple of hours for him to put it together!
Birthday breakfast. She would not let go of that balloon the entire time she ate!

At the party opening her presents. Sweet Nana gave her the American Girl Bitty Baby. Mary Adams loves kissing it!

Food for her kitchen

Birthday lunch at the party

Mary Adams' strawberry cake and cupcake!

It took her a while to figure out the icing but now I think she's in love!

Too busy to pose...

Figuring out one of her (many!) new presents

Uncle Will taking her for a spin

Worn out after a long birthday! And yes, Ruby is still wearing the collar- should come off very soon though!!

What a great birthday and the weather was amazing! Later, while my mom and Milly babysat the dads, brothers, Charley, and I went to the Carolina/LSU game. Not such a good ending score on a great day but it was wonderful getting into the football scene again!
